Scaling Electric Bike Innovation

The designers had just celebrated a successful Kickstarter campaign to develop their foldable electric bicycle prototype. Their next challenge was transitioning from a prototype to mass production. They needed expertise to transform their innovative concept into a market-ready product and this is where JNDC came in.

Over an 18-month project, JNDC worked closely with the JIVR team to redesign the prototype to fit specific manufacturing processes. We began by analyzing the initial design and identifying areas for improvement to meet manufacturing standards. Our focus was on reducing unit costs while maintaining high quality and delivering an innovative product. We applied our expertise in engineering and design to optimize the bicycle for mass production. This included selecting appropriate materials, refining the folding mechanism, and ensuring the electric components were robust and efficient.

This project established JIVR as a key player in the electric mobility market, with their products now available in multiple regions. This success story highlights JNDC's ability to take a prototype through to mass production, ensuring that innovative ideas can reach their full potential and make a significant impact in the market.
